SO WHAT IS FMHP™️?
The FMHP™ Certificate Program is an advanced training program for certified and/or licensed Health Professionals. This program focuses on teaching a ‘root cause’ approach to Mental Health using functional intervention strategies, such as environmental, nutritional, lifestyle, exercise, and supplemental modalities. We strongly believe that staying rooted in scientific evidence and objectivity is crucial to the success of any healing journey. Therefore, great efforts have been made to ensure that scientifically validated lab testing and data-collection strategies provide a framework for success for graduates of this program.

I signed up because I wanted to really understand mold, methylation and functional labs and turn that into more “practical knowledge” that I could apply.
There's just so much to digest! Brendan did a great job of bringing together blood chemistry with the OAT with symptomatology. Tying all the links together was really helpful for me. Being able to come to him directly and ask questions privately was also a nice aspect!
Brendan has the understanding to be able to talk about research papers, biochemistry and dive deep, while bringing in the links to show you how to apply it all in practice.
Being new to functional medicine, it was validating and confidence boosting to be in the program because I could immediately know if my client recommendations were aligned with what I was studying. I also learned in the mentorship how to better prioritize where to put my client’s dollar and it gave me confidence in talking to my client about why we were prioritizing which testing for her.
This program is go at your own pace, and having the ability to dive back in when I wanted or needed to was really helpful. Having a monthly call with case studies was great so I could see what approach he would take with a client!
Definitely do the program if you’re interested in diving deeper in blood chemistry, mold, detoxification, digestion and using the OAT more effectively and gaining confidence in your practice!

As a licensed healthcare provider new to the functional medicine space. This was a perfect course to be equipped with several tools to bio-individualize treatments and lifestyle recommendations for patients. This definitely isn’t a cookie cutter protocol program. The course goes over a wide variety of topics such as the microbiome, traditional lab testing on a deeper level, stool testing, Mental MAP, and organic acids test. Each topic is very in-depth, evidence based and goes down to the biochemical, anatomy and physiology level usually with labs. Each video builds on itself and Brendan does a great job of keeping the topic interesting with personal or client examples that help to summarize each topic. I highly recommend this course and have never been in a course that is so in-depth.

My Journey With Metabolic Solutions
Brendan is a Mental and Metabolic Health Researcher, Functional Medicine Educator & Practitioner, Writer, and Speaker. He is a Board-Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Master Nutrition Coach, Master Personal Trainer, USAW Sports Performance Coach, and Crossfit Trainer.
He began his career as a personal trainer and nutrition coach at the age of 18 after disappointingly being medically discharged from the United States Navy Seal training pipeline due to an injury. After being exposed to the power of functional lab testing in the start of his career, he began intensely pursuing that as a career path which has led him to be widely regarded as one of the top leading experts in Metabolic Health and Functional Education.
He is the proud owner and founder of the Metabolic Solutions Institute for Functional Health and Fitness Practitioners and the creator of the Functional Mental Health Practitioner Certificate Course. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will I get support on reviewing lab results that I order for myself, or my clients/patients?
Yes! We have partnered with DHA Laboratory and provide our own custom lab order form that coincides with our curriculum. Mentees and graduates can get 1:1 clinical consulting support for an add-on appointment fee.
Is this program self-paced?
This program includes over 100 hours per level (Level 1, 2, 3...) of pre-recorded modules. Modules are unlocked on a monthly basis and a recommended study schedule is provided to each class. Students are to complete monthly modules on their own time and are encouraged to keep up with the pace of the monthly study schedule to stay on track for practical exams in order to graduate in an appropriate time-frame.
What is my ‘scope of practice’ upon graduation?
Because we require our applicants to be previously licensed or certified through other organizations, our program does not give graduates any legal bearing in a ‘scope of practice’. Graduates are to abide by the legal limitations of their priorly obtained health related credentials, certifications, and licensure. It is the legal responsibility of each professional to abide by their ‘scope of practice’ as determined by previous credentialing organizations. Metabolic Solutions LLC is not liable for any use or misuse of the information provided through our FMHP™ Certificate Program.
Do you require any prerequisite credentials to join this program?
Yes, we require prior Health and Medical related credentials and experience. Applicants must be certified, licensed, or credentialed in a field of study related to Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Health Coaching, Nutritional Coaching, there is no specific program or credential we require or recommend. Applicants that believe they should qualify are encouraged to apply and advocate with their credentials and experience.
What happens if I am not able to make it through the course within the allotted 2-year time-frame?
Students may purchase an unlimited number of 6-month extensions at a rate of $300 per 6-month extension. We strive to ensure all mentees are keeping up with their studies to ensure graduating on time as scheduled for their class.
How many hours of study time per week will this program require?
This program was designed with the 'full-time practitioner' in mind. You should prepare to spend 2-5 hours per week on your studies.
What is the cost of this program?
The cost of the program is $8,497 per level (100 hours per level) when paid in full. We also offer 3-, 6-, and 12-month payment plans (restrictions apply) along with bundle discounts.
What happens if I don't pass my final exam for a level test out?
The final exams consist of a multiple choice and short-answer written test with a proctor present. The final exams are 'closed note' and no study materials may be present during the 90 minute exam time. If a student does not pass an exam, they can purchase a re-test attempt for $50.
